A slow place for loud things. Stay as long as you like.
I'm Jimmy Chilla — an electro songwriter, digital artist, and fantasy author. I make records that feel like a jukebox that never quite closes, and pictures that feel like they were pulled from a dream someone forgot to finish.
I grew up between Colombia and the American South, which is probably why my work lives in two places at once: neon and lamplight, bass and quiet, the club and the porch.
This page is a small, unhurried place to meet the work before you meet the rest of it. Take your time. There's no hurry here.
BASSQUAKE is a hardstyle record built for the moment the lights go down. Raw kicks, euphoric synths, and bass you feel in your chest before you hear it.
But listen closely and you'll find the quiet ones in there too — songs that sit with you after the crowd has gone home. That's the record. Loud, then still.
I've been making digital art for over fifteen years — dreamscapes, character studies, and neon-soaked worlds that carry the same energy as the music.
You can find the full collection on DeviantArt, and hear the other side of the work on ReverbNation.
I write fantasy adventure novellas — dragon-filled, myth-soaked, and a little philosophical around the edges. Stories about people who leave home and come back changed, or don't come back at all.
The writing lives alongside the music and the art. Same voice, different room. I like to think you can hear the songs in the stories and see the pictures in the songs.
More of it is always on the way. The porch light stays on.
Most of the day-to-day — new songs, new pictures, new chapters — lives on Facebook. Come say hello.
